Happy Not-Birthday Anita!


Anita in France (aka My Papercraft World) was very coy about her birthday last month, so it snook by us all.  But Bev from Happy Dance cooked up a plan to give her a surprise belated birthday party, ably assisted by Party Planner Extraordinaire, Darnell. (And I've just caught a glimpse of all the party food and drink on Bev's post - I'm in there!!)

I cased this fabulous card by Wida, who is starring on the Penny Black blog all week.  And if you think this card from yesterday is fab, check out what she made for today's post!

So Happy Birthday for last month, Anita!  (If the Queen can have two birthdays a year, I don't see why you can't!)  If nothing else, it's an excuse to open a bottle of France's finest :))

    Your card is beautiful, Shirley!! Love the little splatters of red and I really do like this inlay die technique that is so popular these days. The bright red flowers are stunning!!

    What a beautiful CASE of Wida's card for Anita!! Her fields will be full of gorgeous poppies just like these soon! I'm so glad you're in on this surprise...and for the kind comments, you get first dibs on the "party" tables and treats...after the birthday girl, of course, lol! Really, though, your card is just so beautiful, and Anita is sure to love it. Bev

    Beautiful CASE of a beautiful card! I love the inlaid elements...always create such a nice & tidy look! By the way, I'm totally in favor of two birthdays as year just as long as it is for gifts and not additional years added!

    Gasp ... clunk! That was my sharp intake of breath and chin hitting the floor at the gorgeousness of your (or rather my!) card, Shirley! The inlaid die cutting is gorgeous ... and I love, love, love the poppies!     Wow, this is a stunning card! This flower (poppy?) is breath taking and I love the splatters of red on the white card base. I also love how the sentiment is going right through the stems. Hugs
