This first card was inspired by Pamela Ho's iconic card at CASE Study:
I wanted to do a grungy version so I used Black Soot Distress Ink on my numbers embossing folder, then saw that, conveniently, 1 and 8 are close enough to each other to make an 18th birthday card out of it. I highlighted the numbers with a red marker pen and added Glossy Accents. The sentiment is a dymo tape. I'm also entering it into Simon Says Wednesday Challenge Father's Day or Masculine.
So here's MkII of the card. I spritzed more water and took a second print and ended up with a grungier version. I Stamped some ring stains in red (STAMPlorations Holiday Artsy). I'm adding it to Simon Says Monday Challenge Magic because I think the fabulous effect you get from using embossing folders like this is magic ;)
And lastly, another card made using the same folder and Black Soot, but this time I actually used the folder for its intended purpose and embossed it. Added a Tim Holtz cupcake, and it's going into Just Add Ink - Just Add Cupcakes/Cake/Dessert.
