Hello Baby
I'm playing along with CASE Study today where the inspiration is provided by Danielle Flanders with this beautiful card:
When I was making the butterfly card the other day, I stamped off the remaining ink onto a spare card, and I've used this for the banner and hearts. I used a negative of the die cut as a template for placing the banner string and flags. Didn't stop me from sticking a couple down in the wrong order, though, but fortunately I managed to fix it without ruining the card.
The little asterisks are stamped directly onto the base card, and the hello baby is stamped with Memento Summer Sky directly onto the vellum. The vellum, which I've had for years, has gorgeous little mica dots in it.
I'm also entering it into Winnie & Walter, Join In To Win:
Asterisks: Hero Arts CL136 Birthday Messages
Hello baby: Winnie & Walter The Big, The Bold and The Happy
Heart dies: Sizzix
Banner Die: Simon Says Party Banner S117

ReplyDeleteUm ... could this get any more gorgeous? So completely delightful and charming, Shirley ... I'm happy to just sit and admire! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a pretty take on the challenge! Love the soft colors and that you used the leftovers from the other card!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty with the vellum!
ReplyDeleteI love the background stamping and how the vellum softens your design. Thanks so much for playing along at CASE Study this week!
ReplyDeleteWonderful take - you've really mastered this look!
ReplyDeleteThis card is so beautiful and fun, Shirley! And a marvelous take on Danielle Flanders's card! Thank you once again for using our stamps and linking up.
ReplyDeleteAmazing how fast you can shift gears...from a grunge tag to a beautifully soft & subtle baby card! The stamping (on both sides of the gorgeous vellum) looks so pretty! Nice save on the wrong order 'sticking' episode...it would have been a shame to have this pretty ruined!
ReplyDeleteLovely work!
