STAMPlorations Inspiration #366

Steppin' out in style with this card for my STAMPlorations Tuesday Inspiration post.  I used Groovy Platform Shoes, which is available in the Outlet Store if you fancy a bargain!

I stamped the image with InkOn3 Fade-Out ink, then watercoloured using Distress Inks.  I watercoloured an extra piece of card with the same colours and diecut the Birthday sentiment.

Seize The Birthday - Signs of Spring

Hello, we've got a new challenge for you at Seize The Birthday - Signs of Spring, chosen by Lindsey.  How appropriate that the song 'Blackbird' by The Beatles is playing randomly in the background.

The diecuts and script stamp are Tim Holtz, can't remember whose stamps I used for the sentiment.

Check out how the rest of the team and our guest designer Deepti have interpreted the theme over on the blog, then come and join us!  If the spring theme isn't your bag, you can still play along with Anything Goes as long as it's birthday-themed.

STAMPlorations Inspiration #362

Hello, got some STAMPlorations Tuesday inspiration for you!

I found this background in my stash - Distress Oxides over the Droplets stencil.  I love the feel of sponged oxides, so soft.  I turned it upside down because - well, just because.  The CUTplorations Bloomdala Bliss mandala makes a perfect doily for the sundae and macaron from Sugar Rush and the cup from Sketchy Coffee Cups.

Seize The Birthday - Green and White

Hello, we've got a new challenge for you today at Seize The Birthday - Green and White, chosen by JoAnn.

I stamped my image from a set by Stamps By Me, added some highlights with Bundled Sage and Mowed Lawn, then added a smooshy background with diluted Mowed Lawn.  Can't remember whose sentiment it is, as I made the card a few weeks ago and didn't make a note of it!

Pop on over to the Seize The Birthday blog for some more fabulous green and white inspiration from my teamies, and our surprise party guest, Deepti, and play along with us.  If green and white isn't your thing, you can always play along with our Anything Goes, as long as it's a birthday project.

Seize The Birthday - Ocean Creatures

Hello, and welcome to a new Seize the Birthday challenge!  It's Glenda's turn to choose the topping, and she's gone for ocean creatures.

I went for a Jane Davenport mermaid swimming happily with some Hero Arts jellyfish (rather her than me!).  The printed polka dot sentiment disc is from my stash.  The mermaid die set comes in separate parts for you to assemble, so I used brads to attach it, then left the arms and tail free so that they could be moved.

If ocean creatures aren't your thing, you can still play along with us with any birthday-themed project.  Pop on over to the Seize The Birthday blog to see what my teamies and our surprise birthday guest, Deepti, have created, then join in the fun.  See you in the gallery!
