The Mixed Media Card Challenge - Autumn Colours

Time for a new challenge at The Mixed Media Card Challenge, and this month we want you to use autumn colours, with an option of metal or leaves.  Well, looky here - I used metal leaves!

The challenge is being sponsored by Add A Little Dazzle, suppliers of metal craft sheets.  I cut my leaves using a Marianne leaf die on a hot pink sheet which I'd coloured with a little ginger alcohol ink to make it more autumnal.  The background was made by dropping alcohol inks on Ranger speciality stamping card and dripping blender on top.  Sort of looks like tree tops.  The wild plum looked a bit, erm, wild so I rolled some Picket Fence Distress Stain over it to tone it down a bit, and stamped some text to break it up, and some stencilling on the lower portion.  I doodled around the sentiment with a black pen and offset layered it onto black card.

The kookaburra image is my own design - he leads a double life as a kingfisher.  It's coming spring in kookaburra land so we'll have to pretend this is from a few months ago ;)

So get out your autumn colours and join in.  I love vivid autumn colours, so I'm sure I'll be back with more examples for this challenge!
