Seize The Birthday - Dichromatic

Hello, we've got a fun challenge for you this time at Seize The Birthday - Dichromatic!  Use any two colours, with the optional addition of black/white/neutral, but no metallics allowed.

If you don't want to restrict yourself to two colours, or want to add metallics, you can still play along with our Anything Goes as long as it's a birthday-themed project.

I've created a huge slice of cake using Colorado Craft Company's Big and Bold Birthday Cake, with a sentiment from Citrus Berry Cupcake.

Seize The Birthday - Sparkle and Shine

I used a 3D embossing folder and mirri card to get this fabulously shiny background.  I photographed it under the window, and it captured the rainbow of colours beautifully!  The beer glass is from a Tim Holtz die set.

STAMPlorations Inspiration #354

Hello, time for some more Tuesday Inspiration at STAMPlorations.  I've been rummaging through my bits and bobs stash and found this flower, which was a leftover from my playdate with Michele here where we both used Layered Citrus in a non-citrusy way. You can see this flower at the end of that post.  I simply fussy cut it to use on this card.

I mounted it onto a smooshed inky background, and added a sentiment from Party Time.

It's Inspiration time at STAMPlorations, and today I've got a masculine cupcake card for you.  (Need to build up my stash of masculine cards!)

I used the Cupcake Builder #1 die set to create my cupcake, adding shading and highlights, then adhered it to a background panel made using the ARTplorations Plaid Maker stencil.  The sentiment is stamped with Happy Birthday.

Seize The Birthday - Blue and Grey

 

Hello, and Happy New Year from the Seize The Birthday challenge!  We're starting off 2022 with a colour challenge chosen by Colleen - Blue and Grey.  This is a great colour scheme for a masculine card.

I used Anita Jeram Conga Line stamp and die to get the party started.  I followed the markings on the packet, but just used Hickory Smoke.  The hats were coloured with Prize Ribbon, and highlights and patterns added with a white Posca paint pen.  The garland is from The Greetery and cut from silver glitter paper.
