Seize The Birthday - Square Card or Anything Goes

Hello!  We've got a new challenge for you at Seize The Birthday, and our optional topping is use a square card.  But you can always play Anything Goes, as long as it's a birthday theme.

The front edge of the card is actually shaped, but it's still a square card.  I stamped the flower and sloshed some Distress Inks on, then masked that and a section across a panel, sponged Bundled Sage and Tattered Rose, then layered the panel onto the card front, slipping a strip of patterned paper in between.

STAMPlorations Inspiration #231

It's Inspiration Tuesday at STAMPlorations, and today I've used my Carved Flowers set to do some faux watercolouring.  I masked off the edges of my watercolour paper panel then spritzed the paper so that it was damp.  I inked the stamps with Distress Stains and stamped, and all the colours seeped and spread into the damp paper.  Once it was all dry I re-stamped the images to give a crisper edge to the flowers and leaves.

And another Big Owl for STAMPlorations Inspiration Tuesday!  I stamped a grungy background using Texturised: Big Numbers, then on my owl panel I stamped some leaves from Trendy Spring Blooms and added some matching diecut leaves.

Seize the Birthday - Butterflies or Anything Goes

I love this huge butterfly stamp because you can just literally throw colour at it and it will look fabulous.

Dee's Artsy Impressions - Special Release

We've got a Special Release for you at STAMPlorations - Deepti has two new sets out, and I got to play with Beautiful You, a gorgeous wildflower collection.

For my first card, I smooshed some Distress Ink onto my card front, then stamped in some wildflowers and a sentiment using Memento Sweet Plum - what, no Distress Ink??

My second card uses a smaller smooshed panel, and this time I coloured the stamps with markers. spritzed and stamped onto the panel.  I love how the uneven distribution of the colours has added light and shade to the image.

I've used Altenew Inked Flora on a Distress-mopped background.  I keep the flower uncoloured but added a hint of shading.
