Hello! I've got a couple of quick tricks for you today for adding colour to your images. (Neither of these techniques is new, but it's always worth reminding ourselves and refreshing our skills.) The first one is using the back of a stamp.
I started by stamping the same image in black across the front and back of the card.
Then I used the back of another larger stamp from the set and three different colours to colour the images. I turned the stamp each time so that the colour pattern looked more random.
I added a sentiment and called it done.
My second technique is one of my faves - sloshing watercolours around! The card started off similar to the first. Stamping all the way across the card, but this time using three different stamps.
Using the same range of colours, I loaded up my brushes and sloshed colour on very loosely.
You'll see from the central image on the front of the card that I was a little too enthusiastic with my flourish, but hey, this is art ;) I added a sentiment and lots of splattering and called that one done.
I hope I've jogged your memory with these techniques, or maybe even introduced you to a new one. When you're shopping in the store, if you use my code STAMPGIRLSHIRLEY you can get 20% off. Happy stamping!
