Seize The Birthday - No Topping

It's a new challenge at Seize The Birthday!  This time it's No Topping so, as long as it's a birthday project, you're good to play along.

I stamped and coloured the flower then added some stencilling, watercolour wash and second-generation grunge stamping to the panel, tied some twine around it then mounted it onto my card base.

Have you seen how teamie Maria is using up her pile of scraps?  Well, in her honour I dived into (one of) my (many) pile(s) of scraps and found this Coffee Cup Large already stamped and cut out from a mono print background that had been languishing for even longer in the scrap pile(s).  All I had to do was add the sentiment (Blossom Overture) on the belly band, adhere it to my kraft card and scribble a border.

Craft Stamper Cover Stamp

I'm so excited to have one of my designs as the cover stamp for Craft Stamper magazine this month!  And I've got a couple of projects using those stamps, along with a couple more projects using some stamps and papers (not my designs).  Here's a sneak peek - you'll have to buy the mag if you want to see the full reveal ;)

Oxide Backgrounds

I've been playing with Distress Oxides and modelling paste to make a few backgrounds (full details on the STAMPlorations blog).  Sometimes a CAS background doesn't do it for me, and I have to go all-out colourful :)
