STAMPlorations Inspiration #239
We're back to our normal schedule at STAMPlorations following our 6th birthday party (there's still time to comment for a chance to win).
I needed a get well card for someone, and this one came together very quickly. The background was in my stash and immediately brought to mind sky and grass. The Birds of Paradise was also in my stash, cut out but uncoloured. So a couple of minutes to colour, stick and then stamp the sentiment, and it was ready.

STAMPlorations 6th Birthday - Cover Plates
We're wrapping up our birthday celebration at STAMPlorations with Cover Plates.
I used the Zen Doodled Birthday Gifts cover plate to do a whole cut with lightweight pink card, then cut sections in cerise and purple, and jigsawed the pieces in. (I sprayed the back with temporary adhesive and stuck it to my card base before inserting the coloured pieces.) The letters are from Uppercase Alphabet die, and the number is stamped from Sketchy Alphabet.

Seize The Birthday - Candles or Anything Goes
Hello, and welcome to a new challenge at Seize The Birthday - Candles (or Anything Goes if you prefer).
I've used the MFT Make A Wish set and Distress Inks to create my candles. Pop on over to the Seize The Birthday blog for a peep at what the rest of the Design Team and our surprise party guest Annie have made, and play along with us.
STAMPlorations 6th Birthday Party - Stickers
We're well into the birthday celebrations at STAMPlorations, and today we're featuring Stickers. If you have a look in the store, there are plenty to choose from - backgrounds, phrases, word art, washi, botanical, newsprint...
I've used one of the word art birthday stickers over a slice of rainbow cake made with my Layered Cake Bake set.I found this Distress Oxide background in my stash, and it's the perfect match for this party sticker from the same set.

STAMPlorations 6th Birthday Party - Stencils by Sanna
We're still partying at STAMPlorations, and today we're showcasing Sanna's new stencils. My first card uses a Distress Ink print of Onion In Raws for an abstract background to a Christmas bauble. The sentiment is a Merry Christmas diecut.
Maria and I were obviously thinking along the same lines with this Art Flowers 1 stencil! The sentiment is from Blossom Overture

STAMPlorations 6th Birthday Party - Layered Cake Bake
Helloooo! We're having a belated 6th birthday celebration at STAMPlorations, and to help proceedings along, I've baked a cake! Well several, actually, from my newest set Layered Cake Bake. It's got solid sponge layer shapes and outline layer shapes, a squiggle of filling, some dripping icing, some piped swirls, a cakestand, and a topper that turns it instantly from a full cake into a mega slice.
My first confection is a Victoria sponge decorated with fresh Folk Flowers ;) The tablecloth is made from one of Helen's stencils, Art Marks 4.
My next confection is a sponge finger cake, with a health warning and a bit of hazard tape :)
How about a slice of lemon meringue pie? The background is another of Helen's stencils and the sentiment is from World Birthday Cakes.
My last card has a more masculine feel - after all, some men like cake (and sometimes we even have to share some with them). The background is Prim Triangles and Art Marks 5 and the sentiment is from World Birthday Cakes. I drew in the tablecloth and coloured with black Posca pen.

STAMPlorations Inspiration #238
It's Tuesday and it's time for some STAMPlorations Inspiration! I'm still full steam ahead with Christmas card making, and today I've used the mistletoe outline stamp from my set Layered Mistletoe, and paired it with a sentiment from Layered Holly.
Now, mistletoe berries are white IRL, but somewhere along the line someone took poetic licence and you can find graphics online where the berries are red. Which was all the excuse I needed for today's card :)
