Medallion Birthday

This gorgeous embossing folder and medallion stamp set came free with a magazine the other week, so I had a play with it today.  I inked up the folder with Pick(l)ed Raspberry and Mustard Seed Distress Inks, spritzed and took a print, then stamped the medallion on gold card using Versafine Onyx Black.  The sentiment is from STAMPlorations.

I've used the colours from Colour Me...! - I love this combination.  I seem to have got over my allergy to pink ;)

I'm also entering it into Simon Says Monday Challenge, Summer.  These colours are just so summery!

  1. I have to say I saw this embossing folder on a magazine and wasn't sure what it would look like but it looks great, especially in those lovely spicy colours. Perhaps when I next go shopping it might fall into my basket ..lol. x

  4. Great effect! Beautiful card.
You may find this strange to believe but I picked this magazine up yesterday and also created some backgrounds by inking it up before embossing! - the difference was my attempts weren't as successful as yours! My attempts have gone into the "might come in handy one day" pile!

  11. Wow, I like your mags! That is such a cool folder. And I'm glad you've found a place in your heart for pink. It rocks yellow and orange. And green. And purple. And black.
