Welcome to a new CASEplorations challenge.  This month we're CASEing this fabulous card by Donna Mikasa of Three Umbrellas.   Donna's gorgeous cards are always recognisable by their clean lines and bright colours.

There's plenty of CASE inspiration here:  bright colours, splatters (oh, yes!), die cuts, feathers, black sentiment banner, five image elements (three or five, always good).  So what did I go for?

I've kept with the feathers theme and the bright colours (and splatters!) but gone for three elements.  I inked up the large feather mask from ARTplorations Feathers and Arrows Large stencil using Distress Inks, spritzed then laid them onto the card and pressed the ink out.  I started with the centre one, then did the outer ones, flipping the mask.  Then I added splatter and a sentiment from Blossom Overture.

Check out how the rest of the team have CASEd Donna's card, as well as Donna's own CASE here, and join in for a chance to win.

ETA:  I'm adding this to Simplicity One Layer Card Challenge, where the theme is 'As You Wish'.

  8. Dreamy! I was thinking you'd watercolored through the stencil and imagine that might be pretty tough to get to look so good.
