Hello, we've got a new challenge for you at Seize The Birthday, and our optional topping is Diecuts Only (with a stamped sentiment if you wish). Or you can still play along with our Anything Goes option as long as it's birthday-themed.
I've used Peony Dream die from Altenew to create my flower, which I mounted onto one of my mop-up panels. The sentiment is also Altenew.
Pop on over to the Seize The Birthday Challenge to see what the rest of the team, and our Surprise Party Guest, Angie Cimbalo, have made, and join the party!
Love the background as it sets off the flower nicely. The flower is so much nicer without that nasty white border! Did you fussy cut that or does this die not leave the white border...or what????
ReplyDeleteMarilyn, there’s no stamping involved with the flowers and leaves. The layers are cut from mixed media paper, dipped in diluted Distress Inks to pick up colours, then layered together.
DeleteThanks...much better way to die cut flowers/leaves!!
DeleteLooks stunning
ReplyDeleteThe background is pretty and shows off that lovely big die cut flower.
ReplyDeleteEven your mop-up panels are beautiful. :D But your peony and the colours you used for it - gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWho could not have a lovely day with this creamy card that you have created. So pretty and alluring.
ReplyDeleteYou are the Queen of mop up panels! This is beautiful and almost dreamy!
ReplyDeleteAwesome layered flower!! Love this card
ReplyDeleteMop up panels are the best kind of panels, aren't they? It's amazing how the dregs of crafting can create something so beautiful - which this card clearly is.
ReplyDeleteWow! The colors look so awesome - the background, especially - love that wispy marble-like look! And I love the soft colors on the flower too - beautiful pastel colors. Feels like one needs to catch it before it all vanishes off to somewhere!
ReplyDeleteThe mop up panel is a perfect match for that beautiful flower, gorgeous colours, beautiful card, Cathy x
ReplyDeleteThe mop up panel is amazing - the soft colours are perfect for that stunning flower.
