Helloooo! We've got a new challenge at Seize The Birthday, with an optional theme of Candles, chosen by Colleen.
I was rummaging in my stash and found this stamped image of a birthday cake with candles, so it just needed colouring and and blinging up a bit. It's an old woodblock stamp, couldn't tell you what make. The background was also in my stash so I just die-cut it with a Penny Black die. And added some splatter. The sentiment is from Uniko.
If you don't want to use our candles theme, you can still play along with any birthday-themed project. Pop on over to the Seize The Birthday blog to see what our surprise guests and the design team have created, then play along.
I love this wonky cake - how fun. And I love the way you brought it to life with that fabulous background and your great color choice for your sentiment strip. I am so happy to have the opportunity to design with the team. Thanks so much for having me.
ReplyDeleteAnother fun artsy card!
ReplyDeleteOh Shirley this is fabulous, it looks like a 3 tiered cake ready to topple, but I love how you added it to this card at an angle, and all those candles are fantastic!
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect stamp to find in your stash for this challenge. Everything ties so well together...including the splatters. Wonderful card, Shirley!
