City Girl Gets Around

Been playing with stamps from my new range again, which will be available soon exclusively at STAMPlorations.  These stamps are all from the set, "CityGirl".

I turned the stamp over so that I had a solid reverse image, and inked it up with Black Soot, Seedless Preserves and, I think, Spiced Marmalade.  Or it could have been Rusty Hinge - can't remember now.  Then I spritzed it heavily with water and stamped it on my card.   It made a lovely schlurpy shadow on one side as the stamp was coming away from the image.  (I re-spritzed and re-stamped and got another usable image for another card which I'll show you another time.)

I stamped the text block starting at the top, and masked it with a larger mini-poster-sized piece of paper, then drew round the paper, then stamped the next block, masked and drew round that, etc, etc.  Then I stamped the sentiment down the side of the piece and mounted it onto burgundy coloured card.

I'm entering this into Virginia's View, Clean and Simple

and Simon Says Monday Challenge, Falling In Love With...

I'm falling in love with my stamps, fall colours, and I'm still in love with Distress Inks ;)

ETA:  Also adding to Simon Says Wednesday Challenge, Use Watercolours.
