Seize The Birthday - Number Crunching: Use A Number

It's time for a new challenge at Seize The Birthday, and this time Cathy has chosen Number Crunching - Use a Number.

I made this for my sister's 70th birthday earlier in the year.  The robin, pot, flowers and wall are all Tim Holtz, the numbers are Memory Box and the foiled sentiment is Spellbinders.  (It's a good job I proofread this before posting - autocorrect had changed foiled to toilet 😂).

On our daily walks with the dog we see several robins flitting about between trees and fence posts, and we have a regular robin visitor in our garden.

Seize The Birthday - Put Your Sentiment on a Banner

Hello!  Our latest challenge at Seize The Birthday is from Barbara, and it's Put Your Sentiment on a Banner.

My image is by Tracy Easson, the banner is from Tailored Expressions and the happy birthday is from Clearly Besotted.

Seize The Birthday - Make It Pop

Hello peeps!  We've got a great challenge for you at Seize The Birthday - Make It Pop!, chosen by Ashwini.

So, how does mine pop, you ask?  Well, the bird is on a slider.

The bird, leaf and flower are from Funky Fossil, the slider die is from MFT, the sentiment is from Altenew (I think), and the background is a print from either a stencil or an embossing folder, which I've had in my stash for ages.  I inlaid the die cutout on the base card before mounting the panel.

Seize The Birthday - Wheels

Hello, we've got a new challenge for you at Seize The Birthday - Wheels, chosen by Jules.

I used this fab funfair stamp from Picture This, and a cloud stencil for the background.  The sentiment is from Altenew.

We've got some fabulous inspiration for you on the Seize The Birthday blog from the rest of the team, and from our two surprise party guests - pop on over and take a look, then play along with us.  If wheels aren't your thing, you can still play along with any birthday-themed project.

Seize The Birthday - Balloons

Hi, we've got a new challenge for you at Seize The Birthday - Vicki's choice of Balloons.  Well, what's a birthday without balloons?  I used Altenew's Balloon Bunch - those suckers are really hard to line up perfectly!

I made another card while I was at it, repeating the sentiments as a background.

Pop on over to the Seize The Birthday blog to see what our surprise party guests and the rest of the team have made, and join in the fun.  If you don't want to use balloons in your creation, you can play along with  our Anything Goes theme as long as it's birthday related.

Seize The Birthday: Alcohol - Inks or Drinks

Hello, it's my turn to host Seize The Birthday challenge, and for the topping I've chosen alcohol.  What will you go for, inks or drinks?  Or both?

This is actually the second card I made for this challenge.  After I'd made the first one, see below, I came across this image already stamped and waiting to be coloured in.  So I did.

Pop on over to the Seize The Birthday challenge blog to see if the rest of the team and our surprise party guests went with inks or drinks, and play along with us.  If the theme doesn't float your boat, you can still play along with any birthday-themed project.

Seize The Birthday - Things In A Garden

They're flowers, Jim, but not as we know 'em!

Hello, we've got a new challenge for you at Seize The Birthday - Things In A Garden, chosen by Nancy.  So I did these funky Zinsky Art flowers from PaperArtsy.  The largest one's a bit triffid-like, isn't it?

Pop on over to the Seize The Birthday blog for some more fabulous garden-themed beauties from the rest of the team and our surprise party guests, then play along with us - you can do any birthday-themed project if you don't fancy gardens this week.
