Wooden Snowflake and Day 20 Advent Village

Here's another Christmas tree decoration, this time courtesy of Marks & Spencer in their half price sale.  It's a beautiful burnt orange colour, so I wanted a neutral background to show it off.  I just repeat-stamped a background using the Christmas Calligraphy stamp from Crafty Individuals and Versafine Smokey Grey ink.

I'm entering it into the Curtain Call Sweet Snowflakes challenge,

and Nonni's Stamp a Happy Christmas, which is open until Christmas Eve.  It's sponsored by STAMPlorations - and I'll be on the Design Team, starting January 2014 (yay!).  Shery is looking for a couple more people for the DT - why not try for it?

and Simon Says Monday Challenge, Stamp out 2013.

Day 20 Advent Village

  1. What a pretty snowflake card Shirley. Love the red snowflake. Looks great on the stamped background. Your little advent village looks amazing!

  2. Oh... and thank you for playing along with us at Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge. :)

  3. The boldness of the snowflake is fabulous against the delicate, neutral background, Shirley ... gorgeous! Congratulations on joining Shery's DT at Stamplorations ... how exciting ... look forward to lapping up even more inspiration! Anita :)

  4. Oh my - the moon holding the star on Day 20. I love that. The teal with the snowflake is wonderful too with the angled roof. Wishing you a wonderful holiday, Shirley!

  5. Another gorgeous card, Shirley! I love the bold color against your soft background...and that it's a lovely ornament for your recipient is fabulous!

Day 20 of your Advent Village is just beautiful! I'm sure your family is enjoying your contribution to your holiday home decor...I know I would!!!

  6. I was looking at the half price goodies in M&S today too, some lovely stuff! :) I'm loving your advent village, so quirky and fun. Thanks for joining us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!

  7. Shirlie-Girlie, I'm sorry I haven't been around as often as normal, what with the Christmas madness! I have just scrolled through what I've missed and marvel at your artistic ability! That advent village needs to go in an art museum!!

I love this wooden snowflake card, too! Outstanding!!

I wish you and yours the happiest of holidays!! Thank you so much for your online friendship and support this past year!! Holly Jolly Hugs, Darnell
