Happy Birthday, Monika!

Today we're celebrating the birthday of my lovely, talented STAMPlorations teamie, Monika!  Monika is doing a spotlight feature on the STAMPlorations blog tonight, (with a little bit of hijacking by Shery ;) ) where you'll be treated to not one, but two technique videos.

I thought I'd make her an encaustic wax card after being inspired by this card by Birgit/Biggan.  I hadn't tried covering die cut flowers with wax before so it was a new technique for me.  And as I've used a die cut, I'm entering it into Virginia's View - Die Cuts.

Have a wonderful birthday, Monika - hope you get lots of crafting goodies!

  2. Hi Shirley. I thought you had used the encaustic wax technique, but couldn't figure out how the flower fitted in. Fabulous use of a die cut, love it. Thanks for the lovely surprise. Have a great day! Hugs Monika xxx

  10. Covering die cut flowers with wax....say what? Obviously, I have missed your previous posts or my poor old brain has totally forgotten (option two is the most likely reason!)

This card is amazing! I am heading over to Mr. Google's house the minute I leave here to check it out!
