Mixed Media Card Challenge - Blue


Welcome back to another Mixed Media Card Challenge!  This month it's all about Blue, with an option of Vase.


I spread some Distress Paints onto a piece of card, spritzed heavily and let the shades of blue mingle. On a separate piece of card, I used my 3x5 Gelli Plate and stencils to build up a sheet of blue patterns, then selected a suitable section.  Rounded the two bottom corners, edged it with Walnut Stain, wrapped some burlap ribbon around it and called it a vase.

My flower is the French Marigold Large from the STAMPlorations STAMP Lab, which I stamped three times, cut out pieces from two of the images and layered them up, and added a bit of Weathered Wood.

All the stamps on the background piece come from the STAMPlorations Mixed Media Grunge set.

    Do you ever run out of ideas or struggle to come up with ideas? By the looks of what you share, I'd be guessing that the ideas just keep on rolling! Godd thing for us cuz then we get to enjoy your talent! Awesome mixed media project!
