Another new stamp in the post-Christmas sales. Reduced from £9.99 to £1 - look how much money I saved! On LOTS of them ;)
This rose image is quite versatile. I've already made birthday cards with the rose in various colours - pink, red, peach. And it makes a really elegantly understated sympathy card when stamped in pale grey. But I'm not showing you that yet, you never know when it might meet the criteria for a challenge.
So, this version is coloured with Tombows directly onto the stamp, then spritzed from a great height (ok, from about 2 feet) to get a water droplet effect, then stamped onto white card, and mounted onto base card. Easy peasy. The image stamp and sentiment stamp are both Penny Black.
The challenge at CASual Fridays is to make a CAS thank you card.

ReplyDeleteIt may be easy-peasy, but it looks fantastic (the very best kind of technique)! I love the resulting shading - so pretty! And perfectly paired with a scrolly sentiment. Thanks so much for playing along with us at CASology this week, Shirley!

Ah yes ... isn't it fab to save money whilst spending?! You got a great bargain there, Shirley, but it's what you've done with it that makes it special ... beautiful shading and 2ft spritzing ... just stunning! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful in its simplicity! And what a bargain, although I don't know the conversion in USD. But going down from 99 to 1 is definitely a savings!
