Gelli Background

After raving about my new Gelli Arts plate when I first got it, I couldn't let this week's Simon Says Wednesday challenge pass without entering a card that used a Gelli background.  This is probably my all time favourite (so far!!) of all the backgrounds I've made.  I love the earthy shades and the layers of lace and the hemp ribbon across the centre.  Lace seems to give the best patterns.

Day 10 Advent Village

Back to making Christmas cards - normal service is resumed!

  1. I think your card says everything here, Shirley ... fabulous darling! What amazing patterns, shapes texture and colours ... awesome! Anita :)

  2. Adorable card! Your background came out wonderful!! Looks gorgeous!!

Thank you very much for joining us this week at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog!

  3. Yes it is darling! I love the background, I think I may be investing in a Gelli plate next year. IThe torn paper dress is fabulous - it reminds me of a skirt I bought in Thailand.

  4. The pattern you created on your background is gorgeous, Shirley! I really love all the texture and dimension it added to this card! I love the pretty dress, too!

Another fab pair of tags from your Advent Village, too...I'm so impressed!

  5. Fabulous background! Gorgeous texture!
I have had a Gelli plate for almost a year and have never used it! I'm afraid of it!

  6. What a stunning break from Ccs, Shirley! I have been knee-deep in mine, so I had some enjoyable catching up to do with you. You really can rock everything in terms of card styles. It's just marvelous!! Hugs, Darnell

  7. P.S. Forgot to say that your Advent village is out of this world gorgeous!! Hugs, Darnell

  8. You are totally channeling your inner Pablo....as in Picasso!!! Another amazing creation with bits of this and pieces of that, perfectly melded into yet another AMAZING creation! Yes, creation is THE word for this card!

    Love her hair!

    BEYOND STUNNING...Pablo (aka Shirley)

  9. You just rocked that Gelli plate background, Shirley! I'm taking mine out from its hiding place as soon as I'm done with the Christmas cards! :o)

  10. Yeah, she's gelli-ing again! And yes, it is "fabulous dah-ling".
