Thankyou Roses and Day 1 Advent Village

This is my second post today.  Click here for my Let's Go Shopping post.

So this next card is for Little Tangles where the challenge is a thank you themed project.

I die-cut the Memory Box Large Circle Burst from two pieces of glitter card - one dark pink, the other with a rose design, stuck the rose design panel onto the card front, then painstakingly stuck the dark pink circles back into the holes.  I've had the glitter card in my stash for years and years.  I stamped the Thanks stamp from Neat & Tangled Everyday Circles onto a circle of white card then popped it up on foam dots in the centre.

Remember my Advent Village?  I'm planning to post a close-up of each house every day till Christmas Eve. Here's No. 1, Advent Village:

  1. Hi Shirley. Gorgeous rose paper - so pretty!

Love your advent village and am excited to see all 24 up close and personal. :)

No. 1 is so fun with the red door (love red!) and star above. Love how you've added the hanging star on the other side to co-ordinate. So sweet! Loll xx

  2. Hi Shirley, love the card. All those dots and not one missing, clever girl.

  3. Love your card, awesome rose paper!
Thanks for playing with us at Little Tangles!

  4. Wow, Shirley ... such dedication to put all those wee hot pink dots into the spaces on the yummy DP ... sooo pretty! Oooh, close ups of that awesome Advent calendar ... a daily dose of Shirley-inspiration ... what a treat ... splendid! Anita :)

  5. Stunning! The sentiment looks awesome in the center, surrounded by pink roses!
Thanks for joining us at Little Tangles :)

  6. The inlay technique is so worth it! It is really stunning and thank you so much for being such a trooper to play along with us at Little Tangles. Hope you had a lovely weekend.

  7. The wee dots look fabulous popped into the negative space of the circle burst! I love how you layered the "Thanks" on the different sizes of circles - nice depth!

Thanks for the close-up pics of your village. It is so nice to see all your hard work up close - your attention to detail is amazing :)

  8. Your rose paper is so pretty and I love how you placed the dots all around the circle! Such a lovely card!

Thank you so much for sharing pics of your beautiful Advent Village with's coming along so well, and I can't wait to see more!
