Think Pink

The challenge at Less is More this week is Pink.  I made the bottom card first, and was about to post it, when I got the idea for the top card, and now I like that version better, it's a bit funkier.  The petals are stamped with Brilliance Pearlescent Orchid, and the outlines are overstamped with Brilliance Graphite Black.  The centre is raised on pop dots for added dimension.

I like the slightly arty/grungy feel that the overstamping gives to the flowers.

Sentiments are from Hero Arts CL611 Many Birthday Messages, and the petal stamps are from Stampin' Up Pick a Petal.

  1. Both cards are awesome, but the top one definitely has a bit more "punch" with the petals separated slightly more than the first version. The font is also perfect for the bigger/bolder version of the flower. If I had to choose, I would choose both of them :)

  4. Shirley, both cards are beautiful although the square shape of the top one lends it self more to the flower. Thank you too for your kind thoughts

  5. Love them both! I also have this set - I can't let go of it, even though I rarely use it, but every once in a while, I'm REALLY glad I still have it. Have you dry embossed the petals here? I think I see dimension? Or cut them out? They look great!

  7. Hi Shirley, these are both fab ... I particularly love the top one, with the space you've added between the petals, and the more expansive sentiment which just fits perfectly with the expansive colour of the petals! Anita in France

  9. Oh, yeah, I'm forecasting another notch in your winner belt. I'm also apparently going blind as I don't see a discernible difference between the two other than the sediment. They are both mod and magnificent!!

  12. Gorgeous - I love the pink and black & white - it is so vibrant. The top card is my fave - I think the space between the petals make it pop more.
