There's a challenge at Paper Smooches Sparks, which I haven't been entering because I haven't got many of their stamps - soon to be rectified by a delivery from the postman in the next couple of days ;)
But Paper Smooches generously provide free digi stamps, and this is my first venture into digi stamping. This week it's a picture challenge:
The bird is the free digi sentiment coloured with water soluble pencils, and the sentiment is from Paper Smooches Simply Said stamped with Versamark and white embossed.
OK, you tech whiz - share all your digi secrets. I have a bunch of them, but my cardstock won't go through my laser printer, and my inkjet smudges on whisper white cardstock (plus it's a pain to get out every time I want to print). Also, do you use word or photoshop to manipulate. And oh, yes, I love your bright sunny card!
ReplyDeleteWell, as a newbie to digi stamping, I'm not sure I've got any secrets, but here's what I did: created a document in Pages (Word would work), changed the paper size to photo 6x4, then inserted the downloaded image, and scaled it from there. Fed a piece of 6x4 brilliant white coated card 200gsm and printed on that. I'm sure it would all work on a sheet of A4 (or any other size of card, as long as you've defined it in your page setup) but I wanted to use that particular piece of 6x4 card. I couldn't manipulate the image in my photo program, which is why I tried Pages.
DeleteI don't own Copics, and my Tombows would have made the ink bleed, which is why I used water-soluble pencils (without adding water), and was very careful near the outlines :)
Your card is like a giant block of sunshine, Shirley, which is fantastic for me today (raining again)! It's a another perfect CASlicious card!!
ReplyDeleteOh...yeah for mail deliveries coming with new stamps! Your card is absolutely adorable!! Love your take on the inspiration photo. Thanks so much for playing with us at PaperSmooches Sparks!
ReplyDeleteIt is so nice when stamp companies offer free digi stamps! I have only used them a couple of times as it seems my computer doesn't think like I do!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the soft look the water soluble pencils create. Great contrast against the fun, cheery background color :)
Those mail deliveries are the best! I love the simplicity of the card, very sweet :)
ReplyDeleteFab!! Love this quirky, eye catching design.
