Two Cheers

This is my second post today.  Click here or scroll down for my snowman card.

The challenge at A Blog Named Hero is to give one of your cards a second chance by remaking it in your current style.

Here's my original card:

And here's my new version:

I tend not to use as many background papers now, which is a shame considering the amount that I have accumulated.  But I'm sure they'll come into their own again.  My other new trend is that I've started to use sketches, which I'd always avoided before.  As in this week's CAS(E) This Sketch:

The image stamp is from Stamps Happen, and Cheers is from Rubber Stampede.

  1. This is fab! I love these kinds of challenges - it's always fun to case yourself. I admit that I like the second one better - more white space (surprise!), but this is a wonderful image and I love the idea of the pearl bubbles!

  2. Yes, I'm lovin version two as well. The pearl bubbles & white space really give the card an elegant look. Plus, I love how you colored the wine bottle and the glass in a sketchy sort of way.

  3. What a cool idea for a challenge. I like both cards but I especially love the brightness of your revamped card. The bottle and glass really pop and I LOVE the way you added color to the bottle and glass. It's the perfect amount of color vs. white! Thanks SO much for sharing your fantastic card at CAS(E) this Sketch!
