Happy Stripes

I managed to get my sticky little mitts on a set of The Big, The Bold and The Happy by Winnie & Walter before they sold out (again).  I love the BIG words and there's a really good selection of complementary words to make your own sentiments.  W&W have got a little blog linky going for people to share their W&W creations too.  And they've also got a lovely little blinkie :)

I've created some stripes by pressing masking tape into Distress Inks then sticking it onto the card panel, re-inking, re-sticking (different strip for each colour), so I'm entering it into Just Add Ink's challenge, Just Add Stripes

And I've used three of the colours (and a neutral) from the Just Us Girls colour challenge

It's a masculine card, so I'm also entering it into the masculine card challenge at Less is More.

  1. There are a bunch of techniques in blogland that I have yet to try, but masking tape stamping is one I haven't even heard of! How fantastic! I'm gonna have to try this! Your card is beautiful, it's simple and artsy all at the same time - love it! :)

  5. O you lucky - I'm in love with those sentiments too. Hope to pick up a set when I go to MI in March. Assuming they get them back in again! Masking tape, eh? Cool.

  9. Seriously? Masking tape? You need to be teaching classes Shirley! Awesome effect using the tape. At first glance, I wondered where you might have found this awesome stamp set....and it was likely as close as your craft cupboard! Great colors and love the W & W stamp (and blinkie)
